Just played this for the first time today, after discovering it, what, four months ago when I watched *one* clip of it on youtube and nothing else?

Excellent game. Didn't realise that you could actually check crafting recipes that use a particular material until I'd died twice already. The deaths are brutal. The controls are a little annoying (but let's be honest, so are the controls for real life). The setting is cool. What could be better?

All in all, it gives me Noita vibes, especially with the layer mechanics, and it being mostly open-world apart from that, assuming you can manage to get elsewhere. It also feels a little bit rain-world-y but much less so than it does feel like Noita. Will continue to play for a while.

i told my friend about this game and everytime i mentioned it i kept saying its "fucked up", and i even brang it up again to say its fucked up a second time

(+2)

i had the luckiest run ever today (long comment warning and also SPOILERS spoilers warning dont continue if you do not wish to be spoiled)

basically all was going fine and dandy. but while i was in the desert layer i tried to do a tricky maneuver and i accidentally stepped on a landmine that was hidden in the bushes and i didnt realize what was happening until it was too late. so i basically had shrapnel in like every limb and like 4 were dislocated and 2 broken, and i lost an eye as well. i was able to deal with the bleeding cuz i had a procoagulant in the purse, i also had tweezers to pull out the shrapnel, and also the pain killers to fix the dislocations. i basically had everything in my lil purse including a splint and an ice pack so i was able to get over with the landmine incident pretty quickly. and so i made it to the radioactive layer. i descended a lil bit but then i heard a sound cannon so i had to retreat backwards. it just so happened that there was a landmine (hiding in the evil bushes again) behind me so i was launched and full of shrapnel again. this time i lost the jaw. i followed the usual routine; procoagulant, wound glue, tweezers, painkillers n' ice pack. i also noticed that i had internal bleeding. like, a lot lot lot of internal bleeding. but thankfully i had an LRD so i was able to fix that. i was very dehydrated so i needed water ASAP, but thankfully after about a minute i saw a big ol' container with, like, a litre of soup, so i drank half of it and filled my milk container with the rest. after making my way to the bottom of the radioactive layer a fucking turret shot me in the leg. like, i was at the bottom where you press continue or save and a turret was there, that was so rigged. thankfully i had dressing in my lil purse so i was able to fix that. then first thing that happened after i came down to the jungle layer was i saw a thornback digging straight towards me (young one not elder). i managed to dispatch him, but with some difficulties, as, if i recall correctly, i had like 80% brain integrity. then after i murdered the thornback ANOTHER one came straight towards me. this time an "after the lobotomy" moment while i was punching him occurred so i fell down a pit with the dude right behind me. but guess what? i landed on a fucking beartrap so i had heavy bleeding. the lil guy kept biting me while i was falling unconscious randomly but by some miracle i managed to punch him to death. then i followed the usual routine: procoagulant, wound glue, painkillers blah blah, and i somehow survived (still have no idea how i did it, it was even playing the, like, "youre gonna die" noises). shortly afterwards i needed to jump over a coil or dig through like 1 billion limestone so i decided for the former. but this was a mistake as my guy ragdolled randomly and fell right onto the coil. next thing i know i was in a trench with the "OK you're gonna die of heat" moodle. the ice pack, however, came in clutch, as i was able to cool down with it. the ice pack didn't save my brain, though, because it was at 67% integrity, so "after the lobotomy" moments were quite common. then i descended a bit more and saw a nice lil pod with a dude in it. my plan was to barter with the dude to get some medicine so i dug straight towards the pod. when i broke into the pod the guy said to get the fuck out. this never happened to me before, but i did know that this was a possibility. i tried to get out of the pod but my guy was constantly ragdolling randomly and the movements were reversing randomly so i just kind of rolled around the dude's pod. the dude then got fed up and starting punching me. i tried to fight back but my pickaxe fell out of my hands and i had no idea where it was  so the dude stabbed me a billion times and i had a looooot of bleeding. unfortunately this is where my luck ran out cuz' spamming procoagulants didn't save me so thats where the run ended.

tip: if youre ever struggling with stuff like turrets and landmines, pack a bajillion medical supplies in your containers. you can see it saved me here several times, just don't get hit TOO many times.

heres an image i took whilst trying to dig to a pod

put a lightbulb in my mouth because I thought it would be funny, and it was. (I didn't see the warning till after).

and then I did it again because it had zero charge left and wouldn't hurt me again. (I was wrong)

all seriousness, why would it hurt me again?? there's no charge in it!

(+4)

youre still chewing on glass sorta

(+1)

that'd be eating the bulb. I'm pretty sure holding the bulb in a certain way with light pressure wouldn't blow you up as long as you don't do anything that might involuntarily tense your jaw/make you bite down hard (like pain)... also, chargeless bulbs would just shatter in your mouth and give you oral shrapnel...

g l a s s

(+1)

is our expie stupid why don't they just hold it by the metal part

(+3)

The game is fantastic!
I love the premise too, it combines survival with all the best elements of my favourite games: Barotrauma, Noita, Project Zomboid, I could go on and on!

Did you compose the music yourself? Because it's extremely good!

(+5)

Hi!!! just wanted to say a few words about new water mechanic, it is REALLY unlogical sometimes, one small title of water can wash you away or slow you down af. Game is really cool tho, especially those effects and music, i REALLY love it SO MUCH)))

(+3)

I agree, died to a mine since a single block of water basically stunlocked me as I was panicking due to me flowing down slowly into my demise.

My Experiment became depressed , then  got impaled by a huge spike and got sent into the air by some mine.I ended up with Fractured bones, dislocated joints, Dislocated jaw, and Severe neurophysiological deterioration in a pit with nothing on me.I then got Respiratory arrest,Cardiac arrest and died.

10/10 very fun game, would play again

(+16)

I really should’ve read the comments before trying this game. I was in a bad mood and decided to download it, thinking it might help me distract myself from real life for a while. I launched it, stepped on a push mine, and the experiment got a bunch of injuries. While he was groaning in agony, I was desperately trying to figure out how to heal him — eventually I panicked and just ended the run so I wouldn’t have to watch him suffer.

Then I tried to convince myself it’s just a game, just pixels on a screen. I did around eight more runs, and when I finally reached level 2 for the first time, I pressed “Save and Quit.”

Since then, I’ve been walking around all day feeling like I could cry at any moment. I still can’t get those injuries and deaths out of my head — it feels like I witnessed real violence, not just played a game.

The game is amazing in terms of depth and mechanics, but also terrifyingly brutal — something not everyone can handle. I was also deeply impressed by how alive and interactive the character feels: how he sits and waits, shakes water off his fur, whines and barks when he’s sad or in pain, hacks with his claws, and plays the healing mini-game.

I’d love to see a similar project one day with less cruelty but the same level of immersion and emotional connection to the character (though I’m not sure that’s even possible, since the fight for the experiment’s life adds so much to the experience). Still, I just can’t keep watching him suffer and die in agony anymore.

This game truly deserves attention and recognition — as does its creator. As soon as I find a way to support the project financially from Russia, I definitely will, and I’ll 100% buy it once it’s available on a store like Steam.

Sorry if some of my words sound strange or don’t make perfect sense — my English isn’t great, but I did my best to express what I felt.

Tip, do not accidently inject the goober with ketchup

I just made a comment about injecting my expie with an energy drink a few days prior to yours, and it did nothing. This a new update or a specific interaction with ketchup?

I used a morphine syringe and tried this on v5pt3 and v5pt4 and nothing happened. . .

i agree but do not use chatgpt next time

(+1)

Sorry, I just thought he would translate the pun better from Russian

(+1)(-2)

When input setting.,,,.,..,.,,.,. The controls r to much.,,.,..,,.,..,., I need to edit it

You can find the keybinds menu in the bottom right of the main menu, but...

I don't think it's implemented yet. It didn't work when I tried to use it.

(2 edits) (+3)

hope the future is promising.

after four runs and only getting to layer 3 (just how far down CAN you go?)

anyways, I'm not a fan of equipment decay (especially storage containers and backpacks). maybe this could be a setting? or a durability system for such equipment, rather than the simple time based decay.

also, the lighting is... off. bright lights are too bright, and some visual effects are annoying.

infection seems too harsh, i cant seem to ever fix it. (skill issue likely)

Infection is really harsh but still you can heal it using appropriate items you need to used the items regularly rather than spamming it on the wound

(+1)

you can use glowfruit on your infected wounds

(+3)

runs well on steam deck
just make sure to use proton experimental

tho idk if that is the most optimal one to use its just the one that worked for me

wait you can play this on steam deck????

i have mine docked with a keyboard and mouse so yea the only problem was that the game has no native linux compatibility so i just used proton and it worked seemingly

Really? I just use Wine.

please make it possible to use the showers in life pods if a survivor is in the way, it has cost me 2 runs so far. they just block the button and cant clean/disinfect myself bodywide if they are in the way.

its hard and could use more difficulty settings but besides that i love the lore and it could even bypass project zomboid when it comes to mechanics, good work

NEW PLAYERS DO NOT READ THIS, I DUNNO HOW TO MAKE SPOILER TEXT

sir developer, fix a really dumb bug caused by who knows what

I almost completed the game( well the 4th level atleast, dunno if thats the end) i was at 1200 meters but all of a sudden i started getting thrown into the air so high(around 100 meters) i broke all my limbs and drowned in oil, i wasnt ragdolled or anything, just got thrown up while standing, no jumpy plates around either, that my best run in the 22 hours i have spent in the game, i even got resurrected,  then dying in such an unfair and dumb way felt so bad

i was playing on the test version btw

(+1)

Yeah I had the same thing. It was because of the stuck medical box in the blocks

but that was over a really large area, i encountered the same thing a couple minutes before that

the discord link has expired i think, if anyone has a link lmk

can someone please tell me what is game is about

uhhhh my game stuck on instantiating chunks after i saved it before going to next player pls help im doomed

ну крутая игра жаль что денег нету чтоб задонить на продвижение

(+1)

OK! idea for a lore thing involving the game

the experiment can carry items on their back because of  back spines, they can get the item jammed onto it like hooks, making to stay attached via that.

would explain how the bags and all that stay on,  could even add it as a  limb health bit,  connected to the spine , it takes damage when landing on the section, making it unusable when the skin / muscle health is too low due to the  area being compromised.. maybe

(+4)

I hate geysers, they're not directly dangerous, but rather really annoying.

(+1)

Amazing game! It's lacking not content nor visual but ability to pause and leave anytime. I think these two things are very important. Hope it'll be added in the future updates

(+2)

I'm a little lost. How do I fix internal bleeding? It makes me so sad seeing my scavs die slow and painful deaths. :(

(1 edit) (+1)

You need a procoagulant.

(+1)

And for hemothroax, a chest drain

(+1)

idk if anyone had this issue but windows antivirus doesn't like this game for some reason, what could be the reason? I really wanna play the game TwT

P.s. windows 11

(+3)(-1)

you can make the file an exclusion to windows defender so it stops messing up the download/file

(+1)

usually theres like a 'more' button or smth and once you click it u can press 'run anyway'

Really interested in this amazing project, but I'll have to wait till release probably

(1 edit) (+5)

don’t quote me on this, not on my computer right now but use malwarebytes or something if your downloading from non itch.io links or something that isn’t from here or by Orsoniks themselves.

dude I'm asking about modding support, not where else to download the game dawg :sob:

(+1)

also why didn't you just reply to my comment instead of doing this?

there were scam comments above yours they were deleted tho

oh. okay.

btw i see the coment you sent

(1 edit) (+4)

heya, is there plans for modding support/tools in the future? if so, are you doing it post-release or during development in order to not have to change the game-systems too late in development for it to be efficient? sorry if this seems a little annoying though, I dunno if anyone else asked about this so forgive me if you already answered such a question and I just happen to not have seen it yet...

the discord specifically has rules against uploading mod content to it so I'm going to assume there's no current plans for modding, especially since we're so early in development that major systems are still being worked out

IK, that's why I asked if it was PLANED ! That's the damn keyword. PLANED.

no need to be so rude, I did answer that specifically though. mod content is not planned, because the dev does not want people making mods that they have plans to make official content beforehand, as 90% of the time they reveal what they are working on in the discord.

im pretty sure orsoniks said that they doesnt want mods right now so that they dont have to work on mod support while working on the game but that there WILL be mod support when the full game releases but DO NOT quote me on this since i am not very sure

I went in the discord server and Orsoniks doesn't like modding because the game's in early testing and it feels like the works being done for them. Modding support will likely be a thing when the game's finished.

(+6)

I was just having a great run, full belly, lots of storage, ready for the warm. I slipped on water hit my head on the floor and got a severe spinal injury.👍

(+2)(-1)

I love this game I have no idea why it's not popular 😭

Just imagine multiplayer here

multiplayer never

unfortunately... Though i understand why (official) multiplayer will never be a thing

(+3)(-1)

type 2296 in capsule minigame, and u'll get lots of free items!

(+1)

It also works as a faster way to unlock the capsule too.

Although the amount of items might end up making the game easier and boring, especially considering that capsules are quite common to encounter atleast in the first two layers. I tend to avoid typing 2296 due to that same reason, but still an interesting detail to take on account.

huh????? thought this was a shitpost at first but the other reply makes this seem very real

it works it just blows you up though

I literally saw someone fucking die when they accidentally did that. Don't DO THIS UNLESS YOUR RUN SUCKS ASS ALREADY

it instakills now? for me it just deafens and damages your whole body a little bit

yeah, it does... but that was from like... V5 pre-2 or pre-3. I'm not gonna do that in case I die from it immediately!

i dont care what you say, THIS GAME IS PEAK

(+6)

>Start a run
>Accidentaly step on a jump pad
>Little shit dislocates my foot and gives internal bleeding
>Try to fix dislocation
>Faint 6 times from pain
>Finally fixed the dislocation
>Step on the same jump pad
>Recive brain damage and 2 more dislocations
>Die from god knows what
10 dislocations out of 10

I encountered a spider thing, fell while trying to get closer to it. And broke ALL of my limbs, dislocated all limbs, and bled from every orifice. 10/10 I will play again

my expie is still too happy

why is my expie happier than me you're in a nuclear wasteland

(+1)

Speaking of which, today I got my first run over 1k meters without cheating, and god did I have an ungodly amount of luck to get there

The desert was surprisingly easy to get through because there were no landmines in the path I took, and the only actually dangerous trap that spawned was a turret inside of a steel block

Despite this, I took quite a hefty fall, landing on a boost pad making it even worse. I fractured a couple of my bones and had a few dislocations. I still got lucky even here, and only my legs were really damaged. I had a grappling hook to mitigate the pain from jumping, too.

This game is uhh, like really fun. I know it's a demo but I still can't believe it's free

I love this game, I keep dying and yet I want to keep trying

(1 edit) (+2)

fun fact: did you know doing anything in this game you will die?

(+3)

did you know you can clean groundwater? you need to put 1 ml of bleach in a water bottle and it'll turn it from dirty to clean water!

(+3)

Im like 30% sure someone died doig that and posted it here. And IM GONNA KEEP DRINKING GROUNDWATER. STOMACH ACHE IS TEMPORARY, HEART ATTACK FROM LACK OF WATER IS NOT

damn it i tried to gaslight them 😭 you ruined my trickery

it isn't full trickery though, you can clean groundwater via campfire, which you should be using a campfire early anyway because you can make soap for the later levels as easily accessible drop pods are less and less common

(+5)

this is what chef scavenger in metropolis sees when i play as Artificer
