that only happened with me once, when my little guy got trapped in a little concrete tube with water, he still died anyways due to him being already really exhausted and the wack water mechanics slipping him back into the water whenever he tried to rest
but excluding that, literally every single time the earthquake happened, it either griefed my run, or just did nothing at all, but wake my character up from their sleep and break the rubber blocks in a pod my guy was resting on, forcing me to find another one, very annoying!
Honestly, I expected much less from the game, but in the end, I was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, everything here is wonderful, from the music to the gameplay itself.

I remember reading in the rules channel that the server was 17+ only, being the reason why i left it. Although i'm not entirely sure if people within the age of 17 and above can enter the server, or only those above 17 years old.
I was in the Discord server of orsoniks in both 2023 and 2024. I decided to make friends there in September 2024, but things didn't go well due to my personality at the time, and also because of a 20-year-old Turkish person who sabotaged all of my friendship progress.
Now I'm going to tell you a little bit about the awesome run I've had. It wasn't a run where I got very far, but it was one where I learned a lot about crafting. I also got a very interesting death message on the vital signs screen that I had never had the opportunity to see before. Here are a few screenshots of the progress I've made. Some of the important crafting items I managed to make were my own rifle, shotgun ammunition (because I got a shotgun later on), L.D.R. juice, a metal pickaxe, a flashlight, and a headlamp to attach the flashlight to. I also opened several metal boxes that can only be accessed if you have the red blood bag, and I did some crafting. In the end, the cause of my death was the most stupid thing ever, and it was a combination of the gadgets that throw you into the air. I fell into two of those gadgets in a row, then fell several meters and stayed alive for about 10 minutes thanks to the two oxygen tanks I was carrying. And just when I was about to die, and I got that cool death message, I preferred to experiment with a happy death by fentanyl overdose before I bled to death... 20/10 for this game!!! It deserves more recognition, and so does its creator!!!
This game is incredible, I love everything about it. The new update that the game recently received makes it even more complex and fun than it already was. Even though it's still in development, it's very well done. As soon as I have the opportunity to financially support the creator, I'll be happy to do so!!!
It shouldn't matter whenever you replace all the game files, or just extract it to a different folder.
It would matter if scav had its save files inside its game folder (I haven't played in quite some time, but I don't think scav saves anything, right?). Then you would need to move the save folder if you extracted the updated ver somewhere else.
Though, as someone pointed out, itch has a client you can get with updates! (first time I hear about it lol)
itch.io has its own client which i find tiny bit unintuitive to use for browsing random games, but is amazing if you use it as launcher with auto updates

I then spent three minutes figuring out how to anything, and a daddy long-legs actively crawled its way to me for an unprovoked smack. Then I stepped out of the ship and fell straight into lobotomy land. After soaking in the sight of my goober crying for help and trying to form coherent sentences, I abandoned the run and went for the tutorial. 20/10 I loved the experience.
Never thought id play a game were, one careless mistake would lead me to receiving an unwanted lobotomy leaving me disfigured and so brain died that I was hopeless in saving myself.

edit: Checked their account for 100% proof that this is a virus, a ton of comments just like this one on different games, I still wonder what it actually does though, the file seems awfully large, I thought viruses were supposed to be more compact, maybe it's some artifical padding to make it seem like your average game file size.
Question.. what happens if you give your character a very low dosage of say.. brain-grow / mind wipe? if its a very low dosage it shouldn't have enough to do much, its just.. a thought at least
[edit] Example, giving your character 1mg of mindwipe when the dose is 20mg, or 1 mg of brain grow when it is the same, would it just be.. like brain grow but different? a different side effect?
in the area that says sound warning... could you just like, not do that? the character can go deaf; the player doesn't need to as well!
oh, and what's the pretesting download? I assume it's the beta build, but how's it different?
random thought, for every 1% of brain damage, you should get 2% mood decrease resistance? too dumb to realize how bad things are.
I can't stop playing for some reason, even though the later traps are horrible, all my storage breaks basically sending me back to carrying nothing (when you need everything), and general disappointment when the inevitable death happens due to bad luck (an earthquake while sleeping made me fall, leaving my gear behind, and right into a turret. bruh)
I actually disapprove of that change! the game is all about overcoming hardship, and being shaken awake should definitely be one of the challenges you can face. time doesn't stop when you sleep!
instead of removing it, they should add ways of protecting against it, like anchoring yourself or a tent item!

Excellent game. Didn't realise that you could actually check crafting recipes that use a particular material until I'd died twice already. The deaths are brutal. The controls are a little annoying (but let's be honest, so are the controls for real life). The setting is cool. What could be better?
All in all, it gives me Noita vibes, especially with the layer mechanics, and it being mostly open-world apart from that, assuming you can manage to get elsewhere. It also feels a little bit rain-world-y but much less so than it does feel like Noita. Will continue to play for a while.

i had the luckiest run ever today (long comment warning and also SPOILERS spoilers warning dont continue if you do not wish to be spoiled)
basically all was going fine and dandy. but while i was in the desert layer i tried to do a tricky maneuver and i accidentally stepped on a landmine that was hidden in the bushes and i didnt realize what was happening until it was too late. so i basically had shrapnel in like every limb and like 4 were dislocated and 2 broken, and i lost an eye as well. i was able to deal with the bleeding cuz i had a procoagulant in the purse, i also had tweezers to pull out the shrapnel, and also the pain killers to fix the dislocations. i basically had everything in my lil purse including a splint and an ice pack so i was able to get over with the landmine incident pretty quickly. and so i made it to the radioactive layer. i descended a lil bit but then i heard a sound cannon so i had to retreat backwards. it just so happened that there was a landmine (hiding in the evil bushes again) behind me so i was launched and full of shrapnel again. this time i lost the jaw. i followed the usual routine; procoagulant, wound glue, tweezers, painkillers n' ice pack. i also noticed that i had internal bleeding. like, a lot lot lot of internal bleeding. but thankfully i had an LRD so i was able to fix that. i was very dehydrated so i needed water ASAP, but thankfully after about a minute i saw a big ol' container with, like, a litre of soup, so i drank half of it and filled my milk container with the rest. after making my way to the bottom of the radioactive layer a fucking turret shot me in the leg. like, i was at the bottom where you press continue or save and a turret was there, that was so rigged. thankfully i had dressing in my lil purse so i was able to fix that. then first thing that happened after i came down to the jungle layer was i saw a thornback digging straight towards me (young one not elder). i managed to dispatch him, but with some difficulties, as, if i recall correctly, i had like 80% brain integrity. then after i murdered the thornback ANOTHER one came straight towards me. this time an "after the lobotomy" moment while i was punching him occurred so i fell down a pit with the dude right behind me. but guess what? i landed on a fucking beartrap so i had heavy bleeding. the lil guy kept biting me while i was falling unconscious randomly but by some miracle i managed to punch him to death. then i followed the usual routine: procoagulant, wound glue, painkillers blah blah, and i somehow survived (still have no idea how i did it, it was even playing the, like, "youre gonna die" noises). shortly afterwards i needed to jump over a coil or dig through like 1 billion limestone so i decided for the former. but this was a mistake as my guy ragdolled randomly and fell right onto the coil. next thing i know i was in a trench with the "OK you're gonna die of heat" moodle. the ice pack, however, came in clutch, as i was able to cool down with it. the ice pack didn't save my brain, though, because it was at 67% integrity, so "after the lobotomy" moments were quite common. then i descended a bit more and saw a nice lil pod with a dude in it. my plan was to barter with the dude to get some medicine so i dug straight towards the pod. when i broke into the pod the guy said to get the fuck out. this never happened to me before, but i did know that this was a possibility. i tried to get out of the pod but my guy was constantly ragdolling randomly and the movements were reversing randomly so i just kind of rolled around the dude's pod. the dude then got fed up and starting punching me. i tried to fight back but my pickaxe fell out of my hands and i had no idea where it was so the dude stabbed me a billion times and i had a looooot of bleeding. unfortunately this is where my luck ran out cuz' spamming procoagulants didn't save me so thats where the run ended.
tip: if youre ever struggling with stuff like turrets and landmines, pack a bajillion medical supplies in your containers. you can see it saved me here several times, just don't get hit TOO many times.

that'd be eating the bulb. I'm pretty sure holding the bulb in a certain way with light pressure wouldn't blow you up as long as you don't do anything that might involuntarily tense your jaw/make you bite down hard (like pain)... also, chargeless bulbs would just shatter in your mouth and give you oral shrapnel...
The game is fantastic! I love the premise too, it combines survival with all the best elements of my favourite games: Barotrauma, Noita, Project Zomboid, I could go on and on!
Did you compose the music yourself? Because it's extremely good!

really good game but for the LOVE OF GOD put a option to disable earthquakes, they are genuinely the most annoying feature in this game by far

17+ is a little wack for a game like this, cause it doesnt have anything sexual or slurs or anything, 16 is a decent age for this kinda stuf

I think you're playing a older version of the game, you might need to update to the current one, earthquake doesnt happen while you're asleep now
