It's... so intrinsically different from everything else - games are usually all about experimentation, the joy of the adventure. Rogues are all about exploding in new and amusing ways and try-trying again.
This game is nothing of that. It's all about the consequences. The misery that comes from lack of preparation, and how do you deal with the worst of every situation. It's gross, it's uncomfortable, it's painfully realistic.
It's great.
And for an early prototype, it's building with the bones of giants.
I mean truthfully though, I believe this game is also all about experimentation, but where others value the joy of the adventure, here we defy all joy for our experimentation. Which is fun :D
The crafting system feels a bit overwhelming, and while it matches the game itself, spending 4 metal alloys just to discover what you will make from them is a bit annoying. Also the water yeets items around when it moves (when there is a tile/less of a tile of water)
Also, at the tutorial if prior to section where they give you steak, jumping up in the little shaft where steak spawns and then breaking the rubber at the top, the steak will not spawn.
"and then breaking the rubber at the top, the steak will not spawn." I argue that's intentional of course! DISCIPLINE will now carry onto your next run :D
As for the crafting system, I actually agree that it feels overwhelming and to be perfectly honest, I only really use the following 3 recipes as of yet: (might get a fourth one day) - Dressing - Ripped Bandage (Get 2 and convert to Dressing) - Bruise Kit And why? if I may say so myself: A Good recipe is = an EZ recipe + an actually useful outcome
I feel like the title theme from update 2 set the tone of the game much better. It felt slower and more calculated, like the game itself.
This new theme feels more like I'm going to be expected to charge my way into the caves, rather than take it carefully. It does, however, go hard.
That said, maybe I'm just playing the game wrong.
Other than that, I love this game, I love the music, and I love this update. I can't wait to see what comes next.
Edit: Please allow us to turn off floating items. Yes, having them fall is annoying, but I preferred to think about where items would fall after I broke an object, or even try to catch them.
new crafting system is AMAZING, i thought it would be overwhelming at first but im learning the basic recipes just fine. "wet items dont work" system is also cool, it gives the jetpack the nerf i think it needed. overall very cool!!
almost exactly the game i always wanted to play cant say anything more because im sturgling to create long sentences you delayed my "damn there is no games i like my only choice is to spend more time on developing mine"
This game seems really cool but im in the tutorial and have had to reset twice due to missing one of the buttons it says to use to continue, it would be really cool if at least the prompt with what your suppose to do stayed on screen until you did it. idk looking forward to the rest of the game tho

I cant kill those survivors that does not like my presence. My shotgun does nothing to them and I got beaten to death.
This is probably my new favorite game.

You got a good recipe? Please let me know!
Not all that fond of the new title music.

It seems like the game is asking to add an online mode or something like that for 4 players.

You can do it!
Just keep your eyes on the radio the whole time.
Discord rich presence pretty please??
there is a large server, and I am in it... took me a year of trying... don't know why I couldn't join until recently... I'll ask a mod for you
No wait i'm asking if we'll get an update where the game shows up on our discord status
It's so beautifully painful.
